2nd place at the National Case Study Competition in Budapest
On 21-23 March 2015 the 16th National Case Study Competition was held in Budapest, organized by the Corvinus University of Budapest and the EVK College for Advanced Studies. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș–Bolyai University was represented by team FourInOne. Members of the team were Albert Gáspár, Ábrán Csilla, Demeter Zselyke and Kiss Alpár all of them being members of the GTK – Business Consulting Club. The team earned an excellent 2nd place on the competition.
The 15 participating teams have been distributed into 3 preliminary groups. This year’s case study concerned an American dating startup called Datemyschool.com. The main tasks were targeted at the development of an international expansion strategy and its implementation. The teams had 16 hours to develop their solutions. The preliminary round took place in the conference rooms of the hotel where the participants were hosted. The four teams that qualified to the final round held their presentations in the auditorium of the Corvinus University of Budapest.
The team representing the Corvinus University of Budapest won the competition, the Babeș–Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca finished on second place, while the third place was occupied by the team of the University of Pécs.
