Qualification to the final of the “Erdély Pitch 2017” case competition organized by OTP Bank Romania
Between the 22nd of October and 25th of November, 2017 the “Erdély Pitch 2017” Case Study Competition was organized for the first time by OTP Bank Romania.
Cluj-Napoca was represented by two teams “Fortune” from the GTK Business Consulting Club (GTK) and “Batman Consulting” from the Babeș–Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. In total 10 teams applied for the competition..
The competition consisted of three rounds, the first two rounds being organized online. After the teams received their tasks, they had 1 week to solve them, creating a 3 minute video and writing an executive summary of 8 000 characters. In the first round teams had to come up with a communication campaign for the city that they were representing. In the second round they had to present a local company and come up with strategy for its future in order to make it successful.
Six of the competing teams have qualified for the final round, which was organized in the OK Center in Bucharest on the 25th of November, 2017. Team Fortune representing Cluj-Napoca was among the teams that have qualified for the final challenge. Members of the team were Costiniuc Norbert-Dániel (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Géger Gyopár (Marketing, 3rd year), Kelemen Kincső (Business Informatics, 2nd year), Kiss Norbert (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), Vojkuj Csongor (Business Informatics, 2nd year). Their task was to design an application for OTP Bank Romania, which helps families resolve the pocket-money transfer problems and teaches the young generations how to save money.
The “Erdély Pitch 2017” was won by team The House from Miercurea Ciuc (Csíkszereda). Congratulations to all competing teams!
