The Antal Zsolt Foundation came into being with the purpose to urge, support and encourage high school and university students of outstanding talent and excellent academic results. As this, the aim of the Foundation is to organize and/or urge academic programs, traineeships and university projects which go beyond high school and university training to contribute to students’ professional development.

The Foundation plans to organize and/or urge academic programs, traineeships and university projects in order to fulfill its purpose of shaping an extraordinary higher education environment by promoting access to education.

Antal Zsolt

Zsolt Antal was born on 18 April 1978 in Reghin, Romania. He completed his middle and high-school studies at “Székely Mikó” College in Sfantu Gheorghe. In 2001, he graduated from the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca, where he obtained a diploma in agricultural engineering at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Following the academic years, his first employment was at Nutrisam Rt., where he worked in the grains trading department. His exceptional talent showed very early, and he was remarked by the owners and managers of the company. After merely one and a half years, at the age of 24, he was already working as the manager of the grains trading division of the company. After another six months, he was appointed deputy general manager, and later the general manager of Nutrisam SA/Abo Mix SA. From the beginning, Zsolt set the objective of building and operating an efficient and motivated organisation, and throughout his career, he always put a lot of emphasis on people – human resources and on teams. Under his management the group achieved remarkable financial results and developed at a dynamic pace each year.

From 2007, up until his tragic death at a very young age (before his 33 birthday) he worked on the construction of his own enterprise, East Consulting (later called East Group), which he developed from the bases, together with his partners, into a successful organisation, which continues to grow even today, at a dynamic pace.

Even from the start of his career, Zsolt was highly concerned about providing professional support to new talents. Numerous young businessmen and CEO’s, who have since become successful and well-known, started their career under Zsolt’s mentorate.

In 2008, he was an active participant of the process as a result of which a professional college (initially a club) aimed at the practice-oriented development of remarkably talented students, as known as GTK, was established in collaboration with the Hungarian department of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Cluj.

Ever since, the college has continuously grown as new talented members have joined GTK, who were also interested in international programmes, hence the need to provide a conscious and long-term plan for the funding and operation of the professional college.

The foundation established with this purpose has proudly taken up and bears the name of Zsolt Antal. Despite his young age, Zsolt became a true and eternal role model for the college thanks to his mentality, exceptional perseverance, stamina, efficiency, creativity and last but not least unequalled human values provide guidance even today to each GTK student and alumni.

Kerezsi Miklós

Miklós Kerezsi, agronomist, lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University, agricultural engineer, specialist engineer in animal nutrition.

Honorary member of the Hungarian Economists Association of Romania (RMKT).

He is the founder and Managing Director of Hodler Capital and an investor and co-owner of companies belonging to the Hodler Group.

He is the founder of Hodler Alapkezelő Zrt which was established to manage investment funds focused on innovative, environmentally friendly, sustainable agriculture and food production.

Member of the Board of Directors of Mezőhegyesi Nemzeti Ménesbirtok és Tangazdaság Zrt.

Member of the Board of Trustees of the Smile (Mosoly) Foundation, which provides specialised experiential therapy for seriously ill children.

During his more than 25 years of agribusiness leadership, he has created and invested in a number of sustainable agri-food developments. Among other things, he is credited with:

AgroVIR – an internationally expanding, innovative farm management software that helps sustainable and environmentally friendly arable farming, a market leader in Hungary

Chem-System – research, development, production and marketing of food and farm hygiene products, industrial cleaning products,

East Grain Group – grain trading, integration, grain storage, drying, freight forwarding,

UBM Feed – feed production, production and distribution of industrial and backyard feeds

Crush Distribution – wine and spirit trade

Il Pollo Store – retail of premium quality poultry products

In addition, he has been involved in a number of business and strategic consulting projects for companies that play a significant role in the region, such as the Autonet Group and the Bonafarm Group.

He is the founder of the Antal Zsolt Foundation, which organizes and finances the GTK (Business Consulting Club) at the Hungarian Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University.

He co-founded the Agro Consulting Club (ACC) at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca, which trains talented future leaders for the agri-food industry.

He co-founded the AgroVirtus international agricultural case study competition and the Leaders Lab agricultural leadership training programme.

In addition to the academic education, he considers it important to provide students with practical skills, bringing talented students closer to real-life business operations. Management shadowing programmes are organised, involving practitioners and renowned speakers, and professional presentations of projects close to real-life business life, to help students develop at an international level.

In recognition of his work in the field of talent management, he was awarded the East Consulting SRL Genius Loci Award.
