Participation at the case study competition organized by IFUA Horváth & Partners

Between the 20th-27th of November 2015 in collaboration with BioTech USA, IFUA Horváth & Partners organized the Strategic Case Study competition. The two teamsrepresenting Babeș-Bolyai University suceeded to qualify for the finals. Team „Komplex” was composed of Andrea Csula, Csilla Abran, Rita Szekely and Zsolt Szabo while team „4tune” was made up of Reka Fekete, Attila Fodor, Gabor Kerekes, and Lorand Nagy, all of them being members of GTK – Business Consulting Club.

The ten finalist teams had the opportunity to visit BioTech USA’s factory in Szada, Hungary on 20th of November.Participants were able to follow the production processes of the company and to ask questions regarding the company’s operations directly from it’s management board.

After lunch a strategy formulation training took place. During the following week the teams had the task ofproposing a detailed solution regarding the questions raised by the case study of the competition. Opponents presented their solutions on 27th of November at the IFUA headquarters in Budapest. The presentations were evaluated by a professional jury. Members of the winning team were awarded with the chance to participate in an internship program at IFUA Horváth & Partners.
