Courses on financial analysis and company valuation

On the 25th and 26th of November, Mónika Kuti, PhD, assistant professor at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Economics gave a two-day lecture-series on the strategic financial analysis of shareholding companies and on company valuation. The lectures were given in English. The members had the chance to get better acquainted with such subjects as the relation between enterprise strategy and finances; identification of creative accounting techniques; profitability analysis; models of financial forecasting and evaluation; and the link between capital structure and financial flexibility.

As a part of the coaching, the BCC members have to perform an elaborate financial analysis and valuation of a shareholding company of their choice. The deadline is the 15th of January 2011. The member whose company earns him/her the highest fictional capital gains receives a special award. The winner will be announced on the last day of the project.
