Business Planning for High School Students

The GTK Business Consulting Club’s High School program set sail for the third time on October 10, 2015. The program aims to ensure the acquisition of practical business skills, through the teaching of business planning, which complement the theoretical knowledge in economics and entrepreneurship mastered in high school. During the semester, students were able to attend 5 courses within which they received assistance in developing a plan for their business idea that needed to be presented, in front of a professional jury, at the end of the program.

The participants were 11th grade students from four schools, namely Apáczai Csere János Theoretical High School, Báthory István Theoretical High School, János Zsigmond Unitarian College, and Brassai Sámuel High School. The program began with 76 registered students, out of which 21, forming 4 groups, made it to the final round.

The five practical trainings ended with a competition, which took place on December 18, and where the 4 teams presented their two months work. The jury provided useful feedback for the students and ultimately announced the results of the contest:

1st place (Shared): The Transporters team of Apáczai Csere János Theoretical High Schools (Members: Péter Ádam, Szilárd Csorba, Zalán Farkas, János Filep); The Jett team of János Zsigmond Unitarian College (Members: Anna Bajnóczi, Kinga Magyarosy, Anita Fülöp, Ingrid Rád, Krisztina Zsebe, Noémi Gráncsa).
