Case study solving seminar with Huba Eörs
On the 5th of April 2013, Huba Eörs, managing partner of IFUA Horváth & Partners, held a seminar for GTK members. The key topic of this training was techniques for case study solving. In the same time, the jury-member of the Cluj-Napoca Case Study Competition, held on the previous day, gave a useful and constructive feedback regarding the performance of the competing teams of the GTK. At the same time, this assessment represented the introduction to the activity of the seminar, where detailed and comprehensive methods of market analysis were discussed.
Starting from simple segmentation methods, methods of discovering attractive segments were also discussed in detail. Participants had the chance to make a comparative analysis between the conclusions of the BCG matrix, and the results of the GE/McKinsey matrix. Relationships between the market share and the competitiveness of a firm, and market growth and market attractiveness were also included in the presentation. In conclusion, the interactive training led by Huba Eörsoffered our members a solid theoretical background for analyzing and solving case studies and real business cases.
