METU Startup Lab International Competition was organized on November the 5th, 2021, by the Metropolitan University of Budapest. The competition was organized around the topic of sustainability in higher education. The students first had to formulate 5 challenges to conquer, which are currently relevant in higher education, and afterwards they had to reflect on these problems, searching for possible solutions, and constructing a possible scenario which can be achieved by 2030.
As a part of the competition, the students participated in 2 business simulation games as well, which were taken in calculation regarding the final results. These games presented real corporate situations, putting the students in the place of decision makers, for different dilemmas in different time periods.
At the end of the day every team held a presentation in the front of the jury, talking about the ideas they had constructed regarding sustainability. As the closing event of the competition, the teams had a dinner together, when they had a networking opportunity.
