The fourteenth time on the podium of the finance competition
Our students achieved a place on the podium of the National Finance Case Study Competition (OPEV) in Győr. Congratulations to our team Codex, for the third prize!
Between 4-5th February 2022 the XX. National Finance Case Study Competition (OPEV) was organized by the Kautz Gyula College for Advanced Studies in Győr, at the Széchenyi István University.
The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA) of the Babeş–Bolyai University was represented by team Codex composed by Pelger Ivett-Petra (Business management masters, I. year), Hollanda Tekla-Andrea (Finance and banking, III. year, GTK member), Tankó Ervin (Corporative finance management masters, II. year, GTK member) and Borsos András (Corporative finance management masters, II. year, GTK member) finished third in the finals. This was the 14th podium in 16 participations obtained on this event by our students.
The participating teams had to find ideas and solutions for the online retail store of Tesco, the leading retail chain store in Hungary. The task was to conduct a detailed financial analysis on the company’s operation and to create growth strategy considering the innovation of e-commerce and sustainability.
The team advisors were dr. Györfy Lehel-Zoltán, dr. Szász Levente and dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely.
