Excellent results achieved by GTK students at the largest undergraduate case competition

Students representing the Business Consulting Club (GTK) and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (FSEGA) within the Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) have achieved second place in their division during the most valuable 24 hours case solving round of the competition organized by John Molson School of Business in Montreal, Canada. During the competition held between February 27 – March 5, 2022, the team from Cluj-Napoca was competing in the same division with teams from Australia, USA and the champion team of this year’s edition of the competition from Singapore. As a result of the commendable performance during the 24 hours round, BBU-FSEGA students have finally achieved 3rd place in their division

The John Molson School of Business of the Concordia University in Canada organized the 2022 edition of the „John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition” (https://www.jmucc.ca/) in the online space. The task of participating students was to solve three business case studies in 3 hours, 5 hours and 24 hours, respectively. The team from Cluj-Napoca had to compete in the same division with the students representing the University of New South Wales (Australia), the University of Southern California – Marshall Business School (SUA), and the National University of Singapore who qualified from this division and won the grand final of the competition. The team representing BBU-FSEGA and GTK came second best during the longest round of the competition and achieved an overall 3rd place in their division.

Team members from Cluj-Napoca were András-Gergely Csenteri (Business Information Systems, 3rd year), Ákos György (Finance and banking, 3rd year), Tekla Hollanda (Finance and banking, 3rd year), and Kende-Ferenc Pastor (Management, 2nd year). Team coordinators are Levente Szász, Lehel Györfy, Béla-Gergely Rácz and Kincső Kelemen.
