Anna Bugár, active GTK member participated in the Management Shadowing programme

On 7th March, Anna Bugár, active GTK member took part in the Management Shadowing program at Paprika radio as the „shadow” of Szabó László.

Anna’s experience report can be read below:

„The day started with coffee and a discussion, during which Laci presented the iconic commercial radio’s story and vision and introduced me to all of the staff members. He also shared with me an actual challenge of the company to which I was expected to find a solution. After finishing my coffee, I got the chance to get a glimpse into the newsroom, see how a news segment is created and have a talk with Fodor Tünde. Among other things, I was able to talk to her about objective communication, the structure of shows, and human resource management. My next stop was the desk of creative director Zsolt Veres, where we worked together on the sound material of a real project. For example, I also managed to recommend a suitable music for the material. This was followed by a meeting with Laci, who led me into the financial side of the company and provided even more information to solve my task. At the end of the day, I was also able to get into the studio, where host Johanna Palocsay interviewed me. We talked about the university, my own future career path, and GTK.

One of the most important things this fleeting day has taught me is that there is never a break in the media and that flexibility is essential in an area that is changing so fast, where service requires day-to-day attention! I was very happy that Laci gave useful advice even considering my own ambitions and I am terribly grateful to the whole Paprika team for dealing with me with such devotion!”
