Our active member Noémi Székely participated in an American educational exchange programme

Noémi Székely, active GTK member, had the opportunity to participate in the “Global Managerial Decision-Making Workshop” in the United States. The program was held between November 27 and December 11 in the state of Iowa within the framework of the “University of Northern Iowa College of Business”. The workshop was preceded by an application process where only 1 person could be selected by the university.

The program’s main activities included attending university classes such as Global Skills, Organizational Management, Business Economics, or Statistics for Business Analytics. In addition, 7 companies were visited, such as John Deere, Vermeer, Kryton Metals, and Kemin Industries, where there was an opportunity to talk with the company’s managers over lunch.

Noémi described her 2-week experience as follows:

“The structure of the American corporate culture and education system is nowhere near like what we have at home. It has added a lot to my personal and professional development. Studying abroad has many benefits, as looking at the world from a different perspective is a confidence booster and has the most positive impact on a student’s life and future career.”
