Kriszta Dénes active member took part in the Management Shadowing programme

On 13 February, our active member, Kriszta Dénes participated in the management shadowing programme at Arkum group as the “shadow” of Tímea Bíró-László.

Kriszta’s experience report can be read below:

“I had the opportunity to spend a day at one of the companies of the Arkum Group: the Küküllő Hotel in Odorheiu Secuiesc, together with Tímea Bíró-László, the CEO of the group. It meant a lot to me in this programme that Tímea gave me a little insight into her life, what it is like to be a female manager, how to balance family and business life, and that this balance also involves serious decisions that affect everyday life.

I spent the rest of the day looking through her e-mails where I could see how important periodic statements are for managers. We then attended an operational meeting at the hotel, where I found out how busy the world of hospitality is. We also had a look around the hotel and saw how they are trying to increase their focus on quality, which has been helped by the recent refurbishment of parts of the hotel.”
