Cultural programme
On Wednesday, 17 May, the active members of the GTK took part in a cultural programme at the Hungarian State Theatre in Cluj-Napoca, where they saw the adaptation of Zsigmond Móricz’s Rokonok, directed by László Bocsárdi. In the play, the honest protagonist is placed in a leading position in a world dominated by corrupt and manipulative people, and while trying to hold on to his principles, he is sucked into a world of dishonesty. Meanwhile, thanks to his increased power and wealth, he is being sought out by relatives, known and unknown, of whom he has never heard.
The play raises a number of questions about the juxtaposition of conservative and innovative principles, the differences between social ranks and the different types of kinship, which provided an excellent opportunity for the GTK members to confront real-life events that took place in the play.
