CSR programme

The aim of the GTK Business Consulting Club is for its members to become not only excellent leaders, but also committed to helping those in need. That is why during the academic year, the students organised three fundraising events (a board game night, a charity party and the 2nd Cluj Charity Cup). The donations collected were givento the KinderEd family support programme.

On 8 March, the first event of the “Together for Children” series took place, which included a quiz and board game night. This event provided an excellent opportunity for participants not only to test their literacy skills in a quiz, but also to have fun in a board game evening. We would like to thank Bloomberry, END-IBO, Kubuk and Planetarium for their support, as well as the participants, as the money raised from the event was donated to support children in need through the KinderEd Foundation!

The second event was a charity party organised by the students at the After Eight Cocktail Club. The atmosphere was provided by DJ Andris, DJ BRN and NRD, DJ George, DJ Mini and DJ Pici. Participants supported the event with their tickets and had the chance to party for charity. The event would not have been possible without our sponsors, and we would like to thank Bloomberry, Agrosel, Thermo Control, and Adam Ambrus for their contribution to the event!

On 11 June 2023, the 2nd Cluj Charity Cup was held. The students of the GTK support the “Diakonia KinderED” foundation with the money raised from the entry fee of the football tournament. The Cup was preceded by months of organisation. In the end 10 teams gathered, mainly from Cluj, but also from Târgu Mureș and Miercurea Ciuc. The event took place at the Gheorgheni Sports Complex in Cluj Napoca. The championship consisted of two groups of 5, from which 4-4 teams advanced and fought for the final victory in a straight knockout stage. The main prize of the cup was a Tabakó Festival season ticket for the winning team, which was eventually won by a team from Târgu Mures. All in all, the tournament was of very high quality, with plenty of exciting matches for the spectators. And finally, our goal was achieved: more than 100 people who attended the tournament had a great time and helped the foundation.
