Second-year GTK students took part in an advanced finance training course!

Second-year GTK students participated in a two-session advanced finance course, where they learned new financial skills from Dr. Botond Benedek.

The first session was on 12 December, when, building on last year’s financial training and knowledge, the students learned Monte Carlo simulation, a technique used to understand and visualize the impact of risk and uncertainty. They then carried out some scenario analysis and learned the working principle of sensitivity
analysis.

The second session took place on 19 December, when the participants were introduced to the different methods of determining the residual value, and also
received a detailed explanation of the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) and some examples of calculations. Throughout the training, our students gained valuable financial knowledge that they will be able to use at university, in competitions and in corporate practice.

Many thanks to Dr. Botond Benedek for a useful and interactive training!
