Second place in the group at the Amsterdam International Case Competition!
Our students performed excellently at the international case study competition organized by the University of Amsterdam and SEFA in Amsterdam. The four-member team representing the Department of Economics and Business Administration in Hungarian Language of BBU, and the GTK Business Consulting Club were: Boros Richárd (Management, 1st year), Bugár Anna (Finances and Banking, 3rd year), Kolozsi Gergő (Marketing, 2nd year), and Tófalvi Krisztián (Business Information Systems, 2nd year). The preparatory teachers of the Cluj-Napoca team were dr. Szász Levente, dr. Györfy Lehel-Zoltán, dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely and Kelemen Kincső.
The 2024 Amsterdam Case Competition, an international case study competition, was organized by UvA Economics and Business (EB), the Faculty of Economics at the University of Amsterdam. The event took place in Amsterdam, Netherlands, from April 3rd to 10th, 2024 with 12 teams participating from American, Asian, and European universities. The university teams participating in the competition had to develop a medium-term strategic plan regarding sustainability for a global hotel chain, Hilton, in the first case, while in the second case they had to develop a new product and its detailed implementation for the world’s largest beer manufacturing company, ABInBev.
In the group of the GTK members, their opponents were Avans University of Applied Sciences, IE Business School, and Universidad de Panamerica, from which Avans University made it to the finals. The competition was won by the University of Porto.
