In cooperation with PwC Hungary, we organised the GTK Semester Closing Day of the first semester!
In collaboration with PwC Hungary, we organized the GTK Closing Ceremony for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year, during which active members presented the industry analysis titled “Kicking into the Sports Industry: Navigating the CEE Football Landscape.”
The GTK Closing Ceremony, which has already become a tradition within the GTK Business Consulting Club, took place on January 16, 2026. The first part of the day featured the presentation of the industry analysis, while in the evening, during a festive dinner, members, coordinators, alumni, sponsors, and partners had the opportunity to connect and socialize.
The members of GTK presented the results of their semester-long work, coordinated by five senior members. The analysis focused on the sports industry, with a particular emphasis on football, and provided a European perspective, especially on the CEE region. The students reviewed the main trends in the European sports industry, examined the development of sports infrastructure, the role of digitalization and AI-driven analytics, as well as the impact of the economic dominance of European football on the competitiveness of CEE clubs. In addition, they analyzed structural differences across the sports industries of CEE countries, presented key market players and best practices, and formulated proposals regarding consulting and strategic development opportunities.
After the presentation, the audience asked questions related to the analysis, to which the GTK members provided detailed answers in English.
The first part of the event was concluded by Miklós Kerezsi, founder of the Antal Zsolt Foundation, who presented a semester report on the activities of the college, highlighting the professional and extracurricular programs carried out, the outstanding competition results achieved, and expressing gratitude to our sponsors for their contribution to our successful operation. In the second part of the day, students, coordinators, alumni members, sponsors, and professional partners had the opportunity to engage in informal discussions during a joint dinner.
The presentation was hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Babeș-Bolyai University. We would like to thank the faculty for hosting us, and we extend our gratitude to all sponsors, guest speakers and trainers, coordinators, alumni members, and partners for their support throughout the first semester. Special thanks to PwC Hungary for their professional and financial support within the framework of the industry analysis partnership!
