First-year GTK student participated in a strategic management training
On March 6, first-year GTK students participated in a full-day strategic management training session led by IFUA Horváth consultants – Diána Nagy, Tamara Inovay, and Krisztina Vajta. The aim of the training was to give participants insight into the process of corporate strategy development and to demonstrate its key steps through practical examples.
Throughout the day, students explored several thematic blocks related to strategic thinking: the importance of defining a vision and objectives, the role of analysis, and how a successful corporate strategy is built.
The theoretical sessions were followed by interactive exercises. Participants, organized into groups of four, applied the learned methods, for example, by collaboratively formulating GTK’s vision. It was interesting to note that, even though the groups did not communicate with each other, many of them arrived at similar ideas and directions.
The training also highlighted that behind the success of most companies lies a deliberately structured strategic process, which defines long-term goals and the steps to achieve them. Participants gained not only theoretical knowledge but also practical understanding of how to apply it.
We would like to thank Diána Nagy, Tamara Inovay, and Krisztina Vajta for presenting the foundations of strategic management to GTK members in such an interactive and inspiring way.
