First, second, third place and mention at the XXIX. Student Case Study Competition of Cluj-Napoca!

The final of the XXIX. Student Case Study Competition of Cluj-Napoca took place on April 21, 2024, within the framework of the 2024 Cluj-Napoca Case Study Days, organized by the Department of Economics and Business Administration in Hungarian Language of Babeș-Bolyai University.

This year’s case study was provided by Goodwill Consulting, with the challenge to the competitors to come up with a plan that would allow the company to maintain its market leadership in tender consultancy while entering new consulting markets. The jury also included Szilárd Tussay, CEO of Goodwill Consulting, and other representatives from the company.

GTK Business Consulting Club was represented by 6 teams and our members achieved excellent results. Our Avalanche team came second in their group, with Gellért Forró (Finance and Banking, 1st year), Tamás Illyés (Management, 1st year), Tas Kelemen (Management, 1st year) and Tamás Zoványi (Finance and Banking, 1st year). Our Xect Consult team, which reached the final, received IV. place, with Richárd Boros (Management, 1st year), Dániel Both (Management, 1st year), Mária Dénes (Marketing, 2nd year) and Zsolt Tamás Daczó (Management, 2nd year). The Unit team, represented by GTK members Réka Lőrinczi (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), Krisztián Tófalvi (Business Information Systems, 2nd year) and Kata Kovács (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), came 3rd in the grand final. Two of our alumni members, András Antal (Finance and Banking, 3rd year) and Zétény Szilágyi-Nagy (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), came second with their team. Finally, our Risk Rangers team reached the top of the podium, finishing as the winners of the XXIX. Student Case Study Competition of Cluj-Napoca – the team members being Krisztina Kozma (Management, 1st year), Boglárka Hajdó (Business Information Systems, 1st year), Boglárka Fazakas (Business Information Systems, 1st year) and Magor Hadnagy (Management, 1st year).

The coaches of the GTK members were Dr. Lehel Györfy, Dr. Béla-Gergely Rácz and Dr. Levente Szász.
