First place at the National Controlling Case Study Competition in Budapest

Between the 23th and 25th of November, 2019 was organized the 9th National Controlling Case Study Competition by the Budapest Business School and the Lámfallusy Sándor Student College.

The case study was offered by the OTP Bank Group. The students had to evaluate 2 banks, one from Croatia and another one from the Czech Republic, than they had to decide which one is more attractive to buy. To support their decision, students had to make sensivity- and risk analysis, and they needed to identify some one-time expenses. Teams were divided in 3 groups, the best team from each group and the best second team has qualified in the final, which was organized at the headquarter of the bank.

The UBB, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Business Consulting Club – GTK was represented by team Synergy Consulting, formed by: Costiniuc Norbert-Dániel (Business management master program, I. year), Deák Péter (Business management master program, I. year), Fábián István (Business management master program, II. year),  and Vojkuj Csongor (Corporate financial management, master program, I. year).

On the basis of the evaluation of the jury of senior executives, team Synergy Consulting was ranked first.
