Team-building training
On 27-28 October, GTK members participated in a team-building training, which was an excellent opportunity for the junior and senior members of the team to get to know each other and themselves better.
The training was held by Csaba Rácz, managing director of Siegel Eastern Europe and his colleague, Paula Farkas. The two days were spent in a familial atmosphere, as the GTK students not only gained theoretical knowledge, but also took part in fun and educational activities.
During the training, the four personality types were discussed, which are defined by where a person lies on the introvert-extrovert and rational-emotional axes. After each person got their personality color, 4 teams were made and each team had to build a rocket. The organizers took videos, which were watched later in order to analyse how each personality type works in teams.
Furthermore, GTK members also learned about communication and feedback giving which was also put into practice in a later exercise. The task consisted of pairs of GTK members giving each other realistic feedback in certain situations. Moreover, a lot of emphasis was placed on motivational and demotivational factors of each individual, which team members shared with each other in order to make the future work easier.
There were other team-building games such as drawing each other and creating statues in teams. These games helped the teams to get to know each other better and to enhance the team-spirit.
As a result of the training, the GTK students gained a clearer picture of their peers and themselves, they have developed new relationships and became more motivated to achieve their future goals.
We would like to thank the trainers for the useful training, and also many thanks to the Hungarian Student Christian Association for providing the venue for the training!
