10th Open Case Study Competition in Miercurea Ciuc
The 10th Open Case Study Competition took place between the 6th and the 8th of May 2011 in Miercurea Ciuc. The students from Cluj-Napoca successfully qualified into the final round in the bachelor as well as in the masters sections of the competition. In both sections they received second prize. A total of 19 teams competed, 11 composed of bachelor and 8 of master students. The Babeş-Bolyai University was represented by two bachelor and one master team.
The case study’s subject was the sustainability of the Salvator Hotel and of the Jakab Antal Centre, both institutions based in Miercurea Ciuc.
The winning teams (in both sections):
I. prize: Budapest University of Technology and Economics (bachelor)
II. prize: Babeş-Bolyai University (bachelor),
III. prize: Sapientia University (bachelor)
I. prize: Corvinus University of Budapest (master)
II. prize: Babeş-Bolyai University (master)
III. prize: University of Pécs (master)
BCC members Boglárka Dorner, Tamás Major and Kinga Szőcs were part of the bachelor team which won second prize (together with Csaba Kristály, non-member), while Béla-Gergely Rácz was one of the members of the team ranking second in the masters section (together with non-members Anita Sánta, Timea Szőlősi and Réka Váradi).
