2nd place at the 3rd Financial Accounting Case Study Competition

The 3rd Financial Accounting Case Study Competition took place between October 18 and 22, 2014 in Budapest, organized by the Budapest Business School and the College of Financial Accounting. Six teams participated in the competition, among others the teams from the University of Pécs, University of Miskolc and Budapest Business School. The team from Cluj-Napoca achieved an excellent 2nd place.

The teamswere given 22 hours to find a solution to the issues raised in the case study. The subject of the case was to analyse the effectiveness of building a new logistics centre for Masped Zrt. The main questions raised were: what is the net present value of the project, how will it affect the profit of the company, and what are possible benefits of switching to solar energy at the company.

II. prize: FourInOne – Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca

III. prize: Financial Four- Budapest Business School

The team from Cluj-Napoca was formed of four GTK – Bussines Consulting Club members: Demeter Zselyke, Kiss Alpár, Kovács Anita and Pásztor Tímea.
