2nd place at the case study competition in Pécs 2014
On October 26-28, 2014 the University of Pécs, Hungary hosted the 7th edition of the “Dr. Papp László” Case Study Competition in Accounting. This year the competition had a total number of 11 participating teams representing Hungarian and foreign universities. The Babeş-Bolyai University and the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in Hungarian language was represented by 2 teams, and one of the two teams managed to qualify to the final round, winning the II. prize of the competition.

- I. place: University of Pécs, Hungary (Insight)
- II. place: Babeş-Bolyai University (Four In One – Zselyke Demeter, Csilla-Hajnalka Ábrán, Renáta-Hajnalka Czirják, Alpár Kiss)
- III. place: University of Pécs, Hungary (SmarTeam)
The ConsulTeam (Anita Kovács, Csongor Guttmann, Réka Fekete, Attila Fehér), the second team representing the Babeş-Bolyai University, also participated in this competition.
The case study challenged participants to develop a strategy for a transportation holding company operated in North-Eastern Hungary, which had to be formed by the merger of six regional transportation companies.
Regarding the performance of the teams from Cluj-Napoca it has to be highlighted that this edition represented the sixth consecutive year in which at least one team representing the Babeş-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca has earned a place on the podium of the competition.
