2nd place at the National Finance Case Study Competition

Between February 6-8, 2015 the 13th edition of the National Finance Case Study Competition was organized by the Kautz Gyula College for Advanced Studies in Economics at the Széchenyi István University in Győr, Hungary.

Out of the 14 participating teams, FourInOne team representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca, consisting of four GTK – Business Consulting Club members, won the 2nd place of the competition.

It has to be mentioned that this result represents the 8th consecutive year when a team from Cluj-Napoca has achieved a podium position.

This year the competing teams had to analyze the financial statements and build an efficient controlling system for Nemak Co. The task also included the evaluation of the company’s sensitivity related to various contextual risk factors, and come up with recommendations about how to reduce the risk attributed to them.

The members of the team representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca were Csilla Ábrán, Zselyke Demeter, Alpár Kiss and Ádám Salamon.

The final results of the competition:

• II. place: Babeș-Bolyai University
• III. place: University of Miskolc
