3rd place at the National Case Study Competition in Budapest
On 19-21 March 2016 the 17th National Case Study Competition was held in Budapest, organized by the Corvinus University of Budapest and the EVK College for Advanced Studies. The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș–Bolyai University was represented by team Synergy. Members of the team were Alpár Kiss, Anita Kovács, Rita Székely and Zsolt Szabó all of them being members of the GTK – Business Consulting Club. The team earned an excellent 3rd place on the competition.
The 14 participating teams have been distributed into 3 preliminary groups. This year’s case study was focused on international expansion and sustainable growth of the Sziget company, organizer of the Sziget, Balaton Sound and Volt festivals. The teams had 16 hours to develop their solutions. The preliminary round took place in the conference rooms of the hotel where the participants were hosted. The four teams that qualified to the final round held their presentations in the auditorium of the Corvinus University of Budapest.
The team representing the Corvinus University of Budapest won the competition, the second place was occupied by the team of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Babeș–Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca finished on third place.
