3rd place on the CaseFest Case Study Competition

GTK Business Consulting Club was represented by a team of 4 students on the 2022 edition of the CaseFest competition: Zsófia Albert (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Márk Dinea (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Ákos Erőss (Management, 2nd year) and Noémi Székely (Management, 3rd year). 15 teams applied to the competition, and 6 teams were selected for the final, including the team from Cluj-Napoca. The theme of the case study was the MVM Energy Challenge, in which students had to come up with ideas for MVM to rationalize residential energy consumption.

The final round was held in Budapest, at the headquarter of MVM, which took place on October 14, 2022. After a short opening, the 6 teams presented their solutions to the jury and to the other teams. This was followed by a round table discussion where MVM, Roland Berger, the Budapest Business School and Case Solvers were also present, and shared their thoughts with the participants on the topic of sustainability. The roundtable discussion was followed by the the announcement of the winners.

According to the final results, the first two places of the podium were won by teams representing the Corvinus University of Budapest, while the team representing the Babeș-Bolyai University has earned third place.
