Advanced financial training with Botond Benedek

On the 4th January , 2022, the second- and third-year GTK members participated in an advanced financial training held by Benedek Botond, lecturer at the Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. During the course, students analyzed the financial position and present value of a real startup in the hospitality industry. With a sensitivity study, a pessimistic and optimistic scenario was considered, in addition to the baseline scenario, with varying indicators.

During the training the students learned about Monte Carlo simulation, a technique that allows business leaders to take into consideration the risk in quantitative analysis and key decision making. These analyzes and simulations are helping the second and third-year students to take part in international competitions next semester.
