Debate- 12.03.2021

In the second debate of this year’s GTK, we looked for an answer to a very relevant problem: Should coronavirus vaccination be made mandatory for everyone? The event had a strict structure, and the students had to present their pro or contra position within ten minutes of discussion, supporting them with strong arguments. There were then ten more minutes to answer the questions. Although there were very strong arguments from both sides, in the end the result was a draw, as the proportion of votes was the same as before the debate. The judge was dr. Béla-Gergely Rácz, assistant professor, undertook to coordinate the event and to formulate constructive criticisms for the team members, as a preparation for future debates. This argumentation technique was also useful for other participants, as they will also be taking part in discussion afternoons in the future.
