During the first semester, GTK members took part in a communication and presentation training series!

During the first semester, the junior members of the GTK Business Consulting Club participated in a four-session communication and presentation training program led by communication expert Dr. Kádár Magor.

The first session took place on November 10, 2025. During this introductory workshop, participants jointly analyzed the self-introduction videos prepared as part of the admission process. The students examined the key aspects of creating an effective video presentation, while also identifying their personal strengths and areas for improvement. One of the main conclusions of the session was that authenticity is the foundation of every communication situation and can be conveyed to the audience in various ways.

On November 17, first- and second-year junior members attended the second session of the training series. At the beginning of the workshop, students shared their motivations for joining the GTK, which provided a solid basis for exploring how ideas can be communicated in an authentic and engaging manner. The main topic of the session was the “Idea Pitch,” during which participants learned the structure of an effective pitch and discovered that storytelling and emotional elements significantly enhance the persuasive power of a presentation. Emphasis was also placed on adapting the message to the specific audience.

The third communication training session was held on December 8, focusing on storytelling as its central theme. Students watched several internationally recognized and inspiring videos, including the award-winning Johnnie Walker PR film. Through interactive activities, participants gained insight into the tools of effective storytelling and learned how to capture and maintain the audience’s attention using humor, appropriate intonation, and personal examples. This session offered a new perspective on the role and impact of communication.

The final communication training of the semester took place on December 15. During this session, participants worked in teams to develop and deliver a three-minute pitch. The objective of the task was to present the GTK in a convincing manner to final-year high school students planning to apply to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. The teams built their presentations based on the structure learned in previous sessions, while further developing their presentation skills, speech technique, posture, and stage presence. Peer evaluation based on predefined criteria, along with video review, provided valuable opportunities for self-reflection and continuous improvement.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Kádár Magor for this highly valuable, practical, and inspiring training series, which greatly contributed to the development of the GTK members’ communication and presentation skills. We also thank him for preparing the members for the industry analysis presentation delivered during the GTK Semester Closing Day.
