Excellent 1st place at the National Finance Case Study Competition

Between 7-9 February 2014 the 12th National Finance Case Study Competition has been organized by the Kautz Gyula College for Advanced Studies in Economics in Győr, Hungary at the Széchenyi István University. Among the 15 participating teams the FourInOne team representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca, with two GTK – Business Consulting Club members in its composition, won the 1st place of the competition.

It has to be remarked that the victory in 2014 represented the seventh time in row when a team from Cluj-Napoca achieved a podium position and the second time in a row when they won the 1st place of the competition.

This year, the teams had to evaluate an investment of a company interested in the nodular-graphite production called Busch-Hungária Kft. The main task was to determine the efficiency of the project on a 5-year period, and to evaluate its sensitivity related to various contextual factors, and come up with recommendations to reduce the risk attributed to them.

The team representing the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca consisted of Baric Hajnal and Joiţa Nikoletta and two GTK members, namely Demeter Zselyke and Salamon Ádám.
