Excellent results at the Case Study Competition
Between 8-14 April 2013, the Cluj-Napoca Student Case Study Competition took place for the 18th time, organized by the Hungarian Department of Economics and Business Administration of the Babeș-Bolyai University and the Pro Oeconomica Association. BCC members achieved excellent results, winning the top three places of this year’s competition.
10 teams have applied to take part in the competition. They had approximately four days to give a complete solution for the problems presented in the received case study. The case presented the current situation and the future challenges of MOL Romania, a regional oil company. Competitors had to develop a detailed growth strategy for the company focusing on increasing fuel sales on the domestic market. The presentations took place on the 14th of April in three groups in front of a jury formed by acknowledged business professionals from several companies. The members of the jury represented successful and well-known companies such as : Autonet Group (Csehi Árpád, CEO), Zipper Data (Cserháti Csaba, controlling manager), IFUA Horváth & Partners (Huba Eörs, managing partner), msg systems Romania (Karádi Katalin, CFO), OTP Bank Romania (Kun Márton, branch director), Antares Romania (Laczkó Csaba, managing director), Romchemicals (Péter Árpád, managing director), and MOL Romania (Csog Éva, PR coordinator, Nilgesz Carmen, controlling manager, and Márton István, wholesale key account manager).
