First and second place at the Management Case Competition of Pécs

BBU teams won first and second place at the I. Management Case Competition of Pécs. The awarded teams had 4 GTK (Business Consulting Club) members.

Between 16-18th October 2021 has been organized the I. Management Consulting Competition of Pécs, held by the Janus Pannonius Economic Klub in Pécs (Hungary).

The topic was an imaginary real estate company, and the 12 teams had 30 hours to solve their case. The company intended to make a database center in Hungary. The teams needed to find answers to environmental, technological, finance and management challenges.

It was an innovative competition because the participants had specific roles, and they had to follow them. A professional jury evaluated the presentations and after that, they provided personalized feedback to the teams.

From the University of Babeș-Bolyai, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration 3 teams participated in the top 12:

  • Codex team, members: Bereczki Lilla-Katinka (Marketing, III. year), Kovács Dorottya (Management, III. year), Pelger Ivett-Petra (Business management masters, I. year) and Szép Hunor (Corporative finance management masters, I. year, GTK member).
  • Cryptex team, members: Apetroae Lucas-Matteo (Business Informatics, III. Year, GTK member), Ábrahám Andrea-Tekla (Business Informatics, III. year), Kovács Alpár-Botond (Management, III. Year, GTK member) and Martonos Magor-Tamás (Business Informatics, III. Year, GTK member).
  • Stonks team, memebers: Réti Dávid-Árpád (Management, III. year), Székely Csaba (Management, III. year), Tófalvi Nóra (Management, III. year) and Veres Andor (Management, III. year).

Team Codex won the first and team Cryptex won the second place in the competition after winning the semi-final tournaments.

The preparatory teachers for the listed teams were dr. Györfy Lehel, dr. Szász Levente and dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely.
