First place and TOP 7 position at the National Controlling Case Study Competition

Between 12th November and 3rd December, the tenth edition of the National Controlling Case Study Competition (OCEV) was organized by the Budapest Business School (BGE) and the Lámfalussy Sándor Business Club. The case for this year’s competition was given by the BKM, Budapestian Public Utilities Private Non-Profit Company.

The teams had on their disposition 10 days to develop a strategy to increase the company’s market opportunities. During the competition, the teams’ task was to increase the quality of services and make the operation more sustainable. After that, they had to create a 3-year business plan for the proposals and the action plan.

In the final, the Cryptex team, consisting of  Kinga-Réka Ábrán (Bachelor of Finance and Banking, year III.), Alpár-Botond Kovács (Bachelor of Management, year III.), Magor-Tamás Martonos (Bachelor of Business Informatics, year III). and Dóra Szőke (Bachelor of Management, year II.) finished on the top of the podium. The Codex team with one GTK member consists of Dorottya Kovács (Bachelor of Management, year III.), Ivett-Petra Pelger (Master of Business Administration, year I.), Ervin Tankó (Master of Corporate Finance, year I., GTK member), made it to the finals.

The advisory teachers of the teams were dr. Lehel-Zoltán Gyröfy, dr. Levente Szász and dr. Béla-Gergely Rácz.
