GTK Business Consulting Club members at the first Solver’s Cup

On the weekend of 12-14 august 2016 the Case Solvers organization held the first international case study competition in Hungary. 9 teams represented their consulting clubs at the event from 8 different countries: Austria, Poland, Hungary, United Kingdom (Glasgow & Oxford), Romania, Switzerland, Serbia and Slovenia.

Each team had four members, and they all had 24 hours to develop a strategy for Loxon Solutions,a software company specialized on banking and finance. The main question the teams had to answer was “How to become a global player in a niche sector?”

Representing the team of the GTK Business Consulting Club were FeketeRéka, Kiss Alpár, Nagy Hunor Györk and Szabó László Tamás.

The teams were competing in three groups of three teams each, our team being in the same group with the teams from Ljubljana and Oxford. The winner of each group advanced to the grand finals. The first place prize was conquered by the Cornmarket Consulting team from Oxford, whom we would like to congratulate for the amazing performance!
