GTK Professional Camp – Professional Development and Social Responsibility
From October 16 to 18, 2026, Jódtelep hosted the GTK Professional Foundations Camp, where students had the opportunity not only to expand their professional knowledge and skills but also to take part in a special charity project aimed at supporting the Gondviselés Association.
The GTK team enjoyed a weekend filled with valuable experiences and engaging activities. The program began on Friday evening, following the participants’ arrival, with an introduction to GTK and its objectives. This was followed by a social evening designed to help new members integrate into the community and strengthen team spirit.
On Saturday, the professional training program began, offering students the opportunity to participate in workshops on case study problem-solving, presentation skills and PowerPoint, as well as training sessions covering financial fundamentals and artificial intelligence. These activities helped participants develop their problem-solving, planning and presentation skills.
Following lunch, students were introduced to the activities, objectives and current challenges of the Gondviselés Association through a presentation delivered by the coordinator of the charity program. The association’s mission is to provide support and care for adults with disabilities. From Saturday afternoon until Sunday morning, participants worked in teams to develop fundraising campaign plans and strategic proposals for the organization.
The completed concepts were presented on Sunday, the final day of the camp, where GTK coordinators and alumni members evaluated the teams’ work and proposals.
Throughout the weekend, GTK students not only gained valuable professional experience but also actively contributed to social responsibility initiatives. Furthermore, the project does not end with the camp: throughout the year, each team will organize its own charity event based on the campaign plan it developed. In addition, students will provide hands-on volunteer support throughout the semester, helping with the association’s day-to-day needs through activities such as planting flowers and tidying up its yard. Through these initiatives, they will contribute to fulfilling the mission of the Gondviselés Association.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Dimény-Varga Ábel, Kolozsi Gergő, Forró Gellért and Izsák Adél for their insightful training sessions and presentations, as well as to Dr. Szász Levente, GTK coordinator, and Kovács Ádám, coordinator of the charity program, for their valuable professional contributions!
