GTK students have participated in psychological activities
Throughout the second semester the GTK students have participated in four psychological activity with the help of Anna Veres. During the activities, topics like burnout, personality analysis stress management.
On March 18, the GTK students participated in a psychological training. During the activity, they played a game called Instructions for the Derds, which mimics the communication gap between different cultures, and a solution must be found during the game. The students were divided into two groups: one team adopted the “Derdian” culture, the rules of which made the communication difficult. The Derdian students could not talk to anyone unless they touched the person and already introduced themselves by kissing the person’s right shoulder. The people from the other team were engineers and had to design a bridge. The bridge had to be built by the Derds, and for that the engineers had to show their plans, but of course the Derdian culture made that difficult. The task was successfully completed by the students, the bridge was built, and it was also rugged. At the end of the session, the students also got acquainted with the Hexaco personality test and discussed the phenomena that occurred during the game.
On 25th March 2022, the 2nd part of the psychology training series took place at the GTK office. In the first part of the course, the students analyzed themselves on the basis of the Hexaco personality test after which they tried to guess each-others personality by this scoring system. In the second part of the event, everyone had to write 6 traits, 2 which defines them, 2 which they consider positive and 2 which they would get rid of. Then they exchanged these attributes with each other. Each course was very useful and a lot of interesting ideas were continuously expressed.
On 12th April 2022, GTK students participated in the 3rd psychological training of the semester. In the first part of the training, the students analyzed themselves based on a stress simulator test, and then discussed their individual experiences. In the second part of the event, they simulated a practical stress situation, playing a ball game. This event was very interesting, and useful, because the students developed their stress management ability.
On April 26th the students of the GTK Business Consulting Club attended the last psychological activity of the semester. In the first half of the training, students learned about stress management and mastered techniques to reduce stress permanently and effectively. In the second half of the lesson, the subject of burnout was discussed, where the students learned some possible factors on the development. The programme was not only fun but also very useful for students as they can use this knowledge further in the university life.
