GTK students in TOP 10 at the IFUA management competition

The IFUA Horváth & Partners international business consulting firm held the online finals of its business case study competition, in a GTK team consisting of four second-year students has competed.

The competition had two rounds, a qualifying round, from which ten of the best teams had the chance to compete in the finals. One of these ten teams were Babeș-Bolyai University’s Dynamix team, consisting of Székely Evelin Beáta (Business Information Systems, 2nd year), Székely Noémi Cecília (Management, 2nd year), Bokor-Tóth Krisztina (Management, 2nd year), Szekernyés Péter (Finance and Banking, 2nd year). Team advisors were dr. Györfy Lehel-Zoltán, dr. Szász Levente and dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely.

The subject of the case study was the Hungarian e-commerce chain, Kifli.hu. Competing teams had to come up with a long term and short term sustainability strategy, that would result in a competitive advantage. Besides the presentation of the solutions, GTK’s students took part in a course with the theme of sustainability in retail.
