GTK students participated at the case competition of the Norwegian School of Economics
Between October 4 and 7 four students of the Babeș-Bolyai University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Hungarian line of study and GTK joined the world’s top business schools in an online case solving competition, NHH International Case Competition, organised by the Norwegian School of Economics.
The Transylvanian team formed by Ábrán Kinga – Réka (3rd year, Finance and Banking), Csenteri András Gergely (3rd year, Business Information Systems), György Ákos (3rd year, Finance and Banking), and Pásztor Kende – Ferenc (2nd year, Management) competed in the same group with Aarhus University from Denmark, Maastricht University from Netherlands and Chinese University of Hong Kong. Out of the teams it was the university from Netherlands who proceeded to the finals.
The students were challenged to come up with a strategy for the Norwegian salmon farming company Eide Fjordbruk. Based on the jury’s decision the team from Maastricht University presented the best solution for the company.
Babeș-Bolyai University’s students have been prepared and advised by dr. Szász Levente, dr. Györfy Lehel-Zoltán and dr. Rácz Béla-Gergely.
