GTK teams won 2nd and 3rd places in the Management Case Study Competition of Pécs, Hungary.
The GTK Business Consulting Club was represented by 2 teams at the Management Case Study Competition of Pécs, achieving excellent 2nd and 3rd places. The 2nd place was won by the MasterMind team, whose members were Márk-Andrei Dinea (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Noémi Székely (Management, 3rd year), Péter Zsombori (Management, 2nd year) and Réka Lőrinczi (Finance and Banking, 3rd year). The 3rd prize was won by team R-day, consisting of Zsófia Albert (Finance and Banking, year 2), Zsófia Bánffy (Finance and Banking, Management, year 2), Balázs Gergely (Management, year 2) and Ákos Erőss (Management, year 2).
After a preliminary round, 10 teams have qualified for the finals of the Case study competition organised by the Janus Pannonius School of Economics. The case of the competition was provided by Z Elektronika, a Hungarian company from the electrical industry. The teams’ task was to propose a growth and survival strategy. The teams had 30 hours at their disposal to solve the case, after which they were divided into 3 sections from which the top 4 teams made it to the final of the competition. Thanks to their performance, both GTK teams made it through the first round and made it to the final, where they have been rewarded the 2nd and 3rd prizes.
