In cooperation with Petry from Târgu Mureș, we organised the Semester Closing Day of the second semester!

In cooperation with Petry from Târgu Mureș, we organised the Semester Closing Day of the second semester of the academic year 2023-2024, during which the active members presented the industry analysis entitled “Cutting Through the Meat-Packing Industry”.

The traditional GTK Semester Closing Day took place on 1 June 2024, with a presentation of the industry analysis in the first half of the day, followed by a dinner and networking event in the evening where members, coordinators, alumni, supporters and partners had the opportunity to discuss with each other. During the event, the junior members of the GTK presented their semester-long work, coordinated by five senior members, which involved an analysis of the industries, mainly pork but also chicken and beef production and packaging. In their analysis, the students reviewed trends at the global, European and Romanian levels, analysed consumer preferences and the role of technology in the industries, and presented the key players in the markets and best practices. They also made recommendations to Petry, industry players and the interested public. After the presentation, the audience asked the students questions about their presentation and analysis, to which our students responded in detail, in English.

The event was closed by Evelin Székely, manager of the Antal Zsolt Foundation and GTK, who gave a report on the activities of the college in the second semester, highlighting the professional and other programmes, excellent competition results and thanking our sponsors for their contribution to our successful operation. Afterwards, the members, coordinators, alumni, supporters and professional partners had the opportunity to talk to each other over a dinner.

The presentation was hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Babeș-Bolyai University. We would like to thank all the sponsors, speakers, coordinators, alumni members and partners for their support during the second semester!
