International business training

GTK first-year students participated in an International Business training series durint the university year, held by dr. Levente Szász. The training series provided a comprehensive picture of international economic processes, actors and phenomena.

On November 1, the junior members of the GTK had the opportunity to participate in their first International Business training. The course was held by dr. Levente Szász, full professor, vice-dean and GTK coordinator. The training was conducted in English, its main topic being the globalization. At the beginning there was an interactive task, during which the juniors, formed teams of three. During the exercise, after watching a video about globalization, each team had to formulate the definition of globalisation. Then one person from each team had to read the sentence written by their team. In addition, the juniors learned about the scientific definition and categorization of globalization.

On 24 November, first year students of the GTK participated on the second international business training. During the workshop they were given the opportunity to learn about the organizational functioning of international companies, thus gaining a better understanding of certain economic processes and concepts.

On 7 December, members of the GTK participated on the third session of the international business course, which was held by dr. Levente Szász. On the course, the students learned about the strategic situations, which could influence the multinational companies. There was a section, where the students were separated into two groups, and had to talk about the concepts of „reshoring” and „offshoring”.

The fourth training was organized on 21 December. Through the training series, the members became familiar with the concepts affecting the global economy, as well as gained insight into the basic strategy of larger companies. An important element of the presentations was the understanding of the supply chain, the connection of the logistics systems of production companies, suppliers, customers, and various logistics service providers against the backdrop of global expansion. When examining the expansion of these companies, a number of influencing factors were discussed, such as political, legal, demographic, or even resource obstacles and opportunities. During each training, the students had the opportunity to answer interesting and thought-provoking economic situations within the framework of teamwork, as well as to support their views with arguments.

We would like to thank dr. Levente Szász for the interactive trainings!
