Magor Hadnagy shares his experiences on the Management Shadowing program

On the 5th of March 2024, our active member Magor Hadnagy paticipated in the management shadowing program at the East Grain Company, being the “shadow” of Csaba Cerháti.

Magor’s experiences:

“On 5 March 2024, I participated in the management shadowing program, which gave me the opportunity to observe the working day of Csaba Cserháti, who holds the position of CFO of East Grain. During the day, I gained a deeper insight into the company’s operations and the role of the CFO.

My day started at 9am, when I was shown around the company office. During the tour of the office, I was introduced to the different departments, what they do and how they contribute to the success of the company. At this point, it became clear to me how complex and interdependent all the departments are and that the maximum performance of each employee is needed to ensure success.

During the rest of the day, Csaba gave a detailed presentation of the company and the group, as well as explaining some of the financial processes in detail. This was followed by an overview of the projects currently underway, where Csaba outlined the objectives, challenges and achievements of the projects to date.

During the afternoon, I attended various meetings and discussions with Csaba, where I was able to see how the CFO communicates with other managers and staff in the company, how they make decisions together and how they deal with problems that arise. By the end of the day, I had a clear understanding of the complex and responsible tasks a CFO must carry out and the skills and knowledge needed to work effectively.

This shadowing program was a great opportunity for me to gain first-hand experience of the world of financial management, despite being a management student, and to get a closer look at the operations of East Grain and Csaba’s day-to-day work.”
