Management Shadowing programs in 2013/2014
The Management Shadowing is one of the basic programs of the BCC where members have the opportunity to spend one entire day as the “shadow” of a manager, observing his/her daily activities. The program can be considered as a unique initiative aiming to introduce students to the way theory is transferred into practice. In the academic year 2013/2014, eleven members of GTK – Business Consulting Club had the opportunity to visit four companies:
- Czirják Renáta and Székely Rita visited Tipo Holding, a printing company. During the management shadowing Cserháti Csaba, controlling manager of the company presented the organizational structure of the company, the printing process and the warehouse of the company. After this members had the opportunity to examine the controlling system, from which they got information about the costs, pricing and sales of the company.
- Kovács Anita and Dombi Tünde had the opportunity to spend a day with one of the coordinators of the GTK – Business Consulting Club, Kerezsi Miklós, who is also owner and managing director of East Consulting from Satu Mare. Kerezsi Miklós presented the daily operations of the company focusing on the process of managerial decision making and the motivation of employees. Besides this the two participants learned about the most important skills a good leader should possess.
- Német Hunor and Kiss Alpár spent a week at Concorde Asset Management in Budapest. They gained insight into the company’s organizational structure and processes, were guided by several employees from different division of the company, and closely followed the portfolio managers carrying out their daily tasks. This program could not have been realized without the help and support offered by Bilibók Botond, CEO and shareholder of the company.
- Fekete Réka and Fehér Attila had the chance to participate in an average workday at East Grain, being guided by Vincze Tamás, commercial director of the company. In the same time they visited the Boromir company, which is a partner of East Grain. They visited their three mills and a sweets factory as well, meeting with the management of these organizations. The most important subjects discussed during the program were related to the importance of establishing and maintaining partnerships with other companies.
- Albert Gáspár, Guttmann Csongor and Kerekes Zsuzsa visited Romespa, a cattle company located in the proximity of Oradea. The program was coordinated by Lőrinczi Attila, financial director of the company. During the program the three participants learned about the controlling system and the cattle registration system used at the company. They were also involved in the solution of a problem related to the corporate credit lines of the company. The shadowing program was closed with a farm visit.
GTK – Business Consulting Club members participating in this program would like to express their acknowledgement for the time and attention offered by the managers of the four companies!
