Outstanding performance at the 6th Ács Antal Case Study Competition in Debrecen
On 21–22 May 2026, the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Debrecen hosted the 6th Ács Antal Case Study Competition. A four-member team representing thenDepartment of Economics and Business Administration in Hungarian Languagenof Babeș–Bolyai University and the GTK, also took part in the event.
The team consisted of Jázmin Nagy (Management, 2nd year), Karola Beatrix Gombkötő (Finance and Banking, 2nd year), Benjámin Farkas (Business Information Systems, 1st year), and Ábel Dimény-Varga (Data-Driven Management, Master’s Programme, 1st year).
During the competition, students had the opportunity to compete against teams from several Hungarian and cross-border universities. The case study was provided by Jabil Inc., a global company specializing in contract manufacturing of electronic components and products, as well as large-scale assembly services. Participants were tasked with developing a proposal for transforming the company’s organizational structure in a way that would support scalable and sustainable growth aligned with future business opportunities.
Throughout the 10-hour on-site case-solving process and during the final presentation on the following day, the team delivered a well-founded, detailed, and coherent solution that received positive feedback from the professional jury.
The team was coached by Dr. Lehel-Zoltán Györfy, Dr. Béla-Gergely Rácz, and Dr. Levente Szász.
