Participation in the top 10 of the case study competition organized by IFUA Horváth & Partners
On the 6th of November 2019 IFUA Horváth & Partners, a consulting company, organized its annual Case Study competition. After a preliminary round where a total number of 10 teams qualified for the final round, team Amazon(u)s representing the Babeș-Bolyai University and the GTK – Business Consulting Club succeeded to qualify to the live finals. The team was composed of Beáta Bardóczi (Finance and Banking, 3rd year), Nóra Kozma (Management, 3rd year), Eszter Molnár (Business Informatics, 3rd year), and Miriám Nagy (Management 3. year).
During the preceding week, teams had the task to develop a detailed solution to the questions raised by the board of Ilcsi Beautifying Herbs, a bio cosmetics company. The teams had to come up with a strategy to boost revenue. Competing teams presented their solutions at the IFUA headquarters in Budapest. The presentations were evaluated by a professional jury. During other teams’ presentations, teams got to participate in different games, for example: a non-profit problem solving card game, a quiz concerning several economic subjects, and discussions about consulting career. The event was closed by a networking dinner, where participants had the possibility to receive detailed feedback from the jury.
