Participation on the XIV. National Case Study Competition
Between the 2nd and 4th of March 2013 the Corvinus University of Budapest, Faculty of Business Administration and the EVK College for Advanced Studies organized the 14th National Case Study Competition. On one of the most prestigious case study competitions of the region 15 universities from the Carpathian Basin were represented by their teams. The Babes-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca was represented by a team composed of four BCC members.
This year’s task was to develop a multi-pillar strategy for a market leader company in the LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) segment. The aim was to increase profitability, market share, and to reduce cost wherever possible.
The team that represented the Babes-Bolyai University presented a unique strategy in the semi-finals, but their performance was not enough to qualify for the finals of the competition. The team from Cluj-Napoca consisted of Krisztina Ábrahám, Attila Erdély, Balázs Furdek and Kinga Beáta Szőcs, all of them members of the BCC.
