Qualification in the finals of the NIBS International Business Simulation Competition!

At the International Business Simulation Competition organized by NIBS (Network of International Business Schools) and Ecosim, GTK members once again achieved outstanding results this year. During the simulation, participants had the opportunity to test their knowledge as decision-makers of an imaginary company selling bicycles, developing financial and marketing strategies in an extremely dynamic and competitive market.

In the first round, five GTK teams participated, out of which three advanced to the semifinals. The semifinals were highly competitive, and one of our teams, consisting of András Gergő (Business Information Systems, 1st year), Kovács Ádám (Business Information Systems, 1st year), Nagy Gellért (Management, 1st year), and Vaida-Kozma András (Management, 3rd year), managed to reach the finals.

In the finals, they competed against teams from China, Romania, and the Netherlands, ultimately securing 5th place in a tight contest. Throughout the competition, students gained a deeper understanding of the key factors determining a company’s success and practiced developing effective business strategies, while also learning to assume and apply real managerial roles. In the last two rounds, the pressure was particularly intense, as they had only one hour to assess the situation and devise their strategies.

The preparation for the competition was led by Dr. Benedek Botond, to whom we express our gratitude for his professional guidance.

Congratulations to the teams for their outstanding achievements!
