Sarolta Zsófia Albert and Réka Lőrinczi participated in the Management Shadowing programme

On 22 March Sarolta Zsófia Albert and Réka Lőrinczi participated in the Management Shadowing programme at Hodler Group as the „shadows” of Miklós Kerezsi.

„On 22 March, we had the opportunity to spend a day with Miklós Kerezsi at the Hodler Group, gaining insight into its operations and how a manager can see so much at once. We arrived at the company’s offices at 9 am and first spoke to Dénes Barta and Ákos György. They introduced us to what they do and gave us an insight into the structure of the Hodler Group, which consists of Hodler Capital and Hodler Asset Management. We had the opportunity to take a look on Miklós’ calendar, which showed us that the key to being such a successful manager is planning and time management, with every minute of it scheduled in advance. Then Ákos showed his monthly controlling analysis and how he optimized the process.

Afterwards, we met and had lunch with Miklós, while he talked about his day-to-day work, how he allocates his time to get everywhere, told us about the company from his perspective, and gave us advice on what to look out for and how to improve ourselves to be good leaders.

We then listened to a short discussion on an analysis of the company. Here we could see how important it is as a leader to understand the numbers, as Miklós could see straight away if something was wrong.

At the end of the day, we had the opportunity to have two 1-hour discussions with the Fund Manager, Gyula Köbli, and Zoltán Verbó, Investment Manager. Here we had an in-depth look at the operations of the Asset Management and the companies it operates in. Afterwards, we understood what they take into account when making new investments and why the company has been so successful.
